G-save on energy bills

Published: 8 June 2009
Gas and electrical safety specialist gas-elec has launched the g-save Economiser.
G-save on energy bills
The unit works on gas, oil or LPG-fuelled installations and independent trials have shown it can reduce heating bills by up to 35%.

It works by using two electronic timers to pulse at different pre-set times throughout the day. One timer is wired into the room thermostat and the other into the hot water cylinder thermostat wiring.

The g-save Economiser pulses the demand for heat so that the latent heat in the system that is still moving around is used to full effect, even when the boiler is not active.

It was awarded Good Housekeeping magazine's 'Innovation of the Month' in February and has an rrp of £156.
