Seed, bulb and growing kit supplier G Plants believes the key to spring profits this year is impulse buys.
Says director Alex Reihl: "With average transaction values being widely used to monitor sales performance, it's vital that we focus on making it as easy as possible for customers to take home something extra, that has real value, and can increase the basket spend."
G Plants has been looking more closely at how consumers shop, and has found that standard bulb merchandisers can be too high to shop effectively.
So it has now introduced a new style of wooden display, new range of summer flowering premium bulbs and new Bee Friends seed mixtures. The new bulb and seed displays are lower than normal whilst losing none of the shelf space.
