Kingfisher's Brico Depot chiefs to step down
The chief executive and commercial director of Kingfisher's Brico Depot are to step down.

Patrick Langdale and Phillippe Bon built the division into an 89-strong chain following the opening of the first Brico Depot store in 1993.

Brico Depot deputy chief executive Philippe Blanc will succeed Mr Langdale as chief executive.

Kingfisher has recently suffered a series of high profile resignations recently with the arrival of new group chief executive Ian Cheshire.

Managing director of European development and UK trade George Adams and Asia chief Steve Gilman are also leaving the group.

Former chief executive of Kingfisher, Gerry Murphy, is to join American private equity business, The Blackstone Group as a senior managing director, based in London.

In his new role, Murphy will support Blackstone's portfolio of companies across Europe and Asia.

Mr Murphy spent five years at Kingfisher.
