Home Hardware has announced the appointment of Steve Fletcher as business development officer (Midlands and North). He will take over from Ian Blake, who retires later this year.
Former Mica manager joins Home Hardware
Mr Fletcher joins Home Hardware from Mica where he spent six years developing members' stores in the Midlands and Northern Ireland.

Prior to Mica, he has 30 years of retail experience including spells at Milletts and Viyella.

Steve Fletcher said, "I thoroughly enjoyed helping Mica members grow their business, but welcomed the opportunity to join Home Hardware.

"They lead the field in promoting independent stores and have the benefit of being able to distribute stock anywhere in the country from its warehouses."

Martin Elliott, managing director of Home Hardware said the appointment is another step forward in its efforts to ensure that retailers and suppliers work together.
