Fastening specialist Rapid is to join The European Federation of DIY Manufacturers (Fediyma) as an individual member in August.
The Swedish company is the first Scandinavian individual member of the federation, and Fediyma says the move represents a significant step forward in the foundation of a DIY manufacturers' association in Sweden.

Rapid is the leading fastening specialist in 120 countries. The company's headquarters and tool manufacturing is in Hestra, Sweden, and it also has manufacturing facilities and warehouses in St Amé, France and Shanghai. It employs 1,000 people, and last year turned over €11m.

Fediyma says it expects to see more new members joining in the next few months.
