Mack Brooks Exhibitions has acquired the entire shareholding of Fastener Fairs Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
The product portfolio included in the sale comprises the annual exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany and Fastener+Fixing Magazine. A satellite Hungarian show in Budapest will also take place in September this year.

Founder and md of Fastener Fair Jerry Ramsdale will stay on in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth handover.

Speaking of the sale, he said: "There is no easy time to part with something that has been central to our life for so many years. However it was clear that the exceptional growth had taken the existing business close to its limits. Now with the experience and resources of a much larger exhibition organiser, it is guaranteed that Fastener Fair will be further developed as the world's leading fastener industry event."
