The study which looked at garden centres in South Wales found a quarter of water samples from seven centres tested positive for E.coli, according to walesonline.co.uk.

The researchers also found there were no warning signs at five of the seven tested centres located in Cardiff, Monmouthshire and the Vale of Glamorgan.

A spokesman for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health said the full study would be published on Wednesday (25 February).
