Dulux Decorator Centre puts sustainability centre stage in its return to the National Painting & Decorating Show

Published: 16 November 2021 - Neil Mead

After standing side-by-side with painters and decorators through the upheavals of the past 18 months, the Dulux Decorator Centre team is making a long-awaited return to the National Painting & Decorating Show next month.

Taking place on November 23 and 24 at Coventry Building Society Arena, the show will see Dulux Decorator Centre experts share their stand-out advice to help professionals make the most of its products and services to meet their business goals.

Sustainability will be at the heart of the Dulux Decorator Centre stand, with the team providing a wealth of information and advice on how professionals can provide a sustainable solution for clients. Visitors will be able to learn about steps they can take to lower their carbon footprint, including through the use of low-VOC and water-based paint products, such as Dulux Trade Airsure and Evolve, sustainable accessories, such as foil caulk packaging, and can recycling schemes.

To support this messaging, Dulux Decorator Centre will be removing any paper leaflets from its stand to help cut down on paper, while its giveaway branded goodies will also be made from recycled material, including post-it notes filled with seeds that you can plant after use. And with a reputation for colour excellence, Dulux Decorator Centre will be on hand to advise painters and decorators on finding that perfect shade for clients by using an extensive range of services, including the Dulux Trade Colour Sensor and colour matching, mixing and tinting services.

Visitors to the stand can also hear about the new Dulux Academy training facilities which launched at three Dulux Decorator Centre sites this year. The purpose-built spaces will allow more painters and decorators across the country to benefit from the expert training previously delivered at the Dulux Academy’s Slough HQ and five partner colleges. There will also be a key focus on digital services on the stand, as Dulux Decorator Centre looks ahead into digitising more of its content, as well as showcasing how decorators can benefit from 24/7 access to its products and services with online accounts.

Caroline Humphrey, Dulux Decorator Centre Marketing Manager, said: “After more than a year and half of disruption and restrictions, we can’t wait to see professionals in person once again at the National Painting & Decorating Show.

“Sustainability has always been at the forefront of our business and it is becoming a greater concern for both the professionals we support and their clients, so it was really important for us to make it a focus of our stand this year.

“The past year has seen Dulux Decorator Centre make a number of significant developments, such as the launch of Dulux Academy training facilities within a number of our sites, allowing painters and decorators up and down the country to gain access to high-quality training.

“We’re excited to showcase to professionals all the hard work we’ve done in recent years and how Dulux Decorator Centre is continuing to support them.”

Dulux Decorator Centre will be at stand 75.
