Duck Tape stadium ads are 'natural fit' with rugby

Published: 26 November 2012
Duck Tape has invested in pitch-side advertising during this autumn's Rugby Internationals as well as the Six Nations home matches at Murrayfield in 2013.
As well as the brand being promoted inside the stadium, images will be beamed to regional, national and global viewers via the BBC, which will provide coverage of the autumn internationals.

Rugby Union is one of BBC Sport's most watched sports, regularly attracting up to 10m viewers per match.

Says Duck Tape's head of marketing Alan Murray: "All eyes are going to be on these games, which will be the highlight of the autumn sporting calender. The matches attract huge viewing figures and will give our high-impact, eye-catching brand prominent exposure among some of our core target audiences."

Ultimate Duck Tape is the company's toughest cloth tape, and with rugby being perceived as a tough sport - and popular with Duck Tape' customers - the partnership with Rugby Union is seen as a natural fit.

The pitch-side advertising will run alongside an extensive national PR programme.
