On January 1, DRU Verwarming BV of the Netherlands completed its merger with German wood stove manufacturer Spartherm, thus creating one of the biggest and most diverse fireplace manufacturers in Europe.
Spartherm products will now be available to UK consumers through the DRU dealer network, with new dealers for the stoves also being sought in selected areas.

The combined company now has three major brands: DRU gas fires, Dik Geurts wood and multi-fuel stoves and Spartherm wood stoves. Spartherm stoves, which have been market leaders in Germany for over 30 years, come in a huge variety of options, which have been pared down by DRU to the ones that best suit UK households.

They include contemporary freestanding, built-in and special feature models such as tunnel, 2-sided and 3-sided fires.
