Dobbies submits Peterborough plans

Published: 23 August 2010
Dobbies has submitted a planning application for a brand new garden centre to Peterborough City Council, after plans received overwhelming public support.

Details of the £8m proposal have been on display since June at the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre, which is directly opposite the proposed site for the new 48,000sq ft Dobbies Garden World.

More than 100 locals took the time to discuss plans with the Dobbies team, and of those who completed a questionnaire 97% backed the plans.

Like plans for the Dobbies in Carlisle, which were green lighted last week, the Dobbies Peterborough site will create 120 jobs in the region.
