DIY store theft man must pay compensation

Published: 20 May 2013
An out-of-work man has been told by a court that he will have to pay compensation to a kitchens and bedrooms store from which he stole.
Forty-year-old Stephen Mole took goods worth over €1,400 from the Finglas, Dublin branch of Noyeks Newmans last August. He admitted the theft at Blanchardstown District Court, which heard that he was unemployed and claiming benefits.

Mole was given six months to pay compensation to the company, which operates a chain of stores in Eire selling kitchens and bedrooms, flooring, doors and other timber products.
