Daily Mirror to launch garden range

Published: 4 December 2009
The Daily Mirror is planning to launch a range of garden products in the New Year under the Mr Digwell brand - the paper's fictional garden expert.
The Mirror is currently conducting preliminary talks with suppliers about licensing deals, which would see products brought to market in time for an official launch at The Edible Garden Show in March - only 15 weeks away!

DIY Week understands that the branded products would be sold as part of participating suppliers' stock through the usual channels, but that the Daily Mirror would also be using reader offers within the paper in order to sell the range.

Suppliers who are interested in taking part in preliminary discussions with the Mirror should contact Mr Digwell author Paul Peacock on 0161 655 4428 or email paul@paulpeacock.net.

GIMA director Neil Gow will also be taking part in the preliminary discussions so any GIMA member who is interested should email their contact details and product outline to neilgow@gima.org.uk no later than Wednesday December 9.
