Centurion sets out new development strategy

Published: 16 February 2016
Wholesaler and distributor, Centurion Europe has set out an ambitious development strategy that it hopes will see the organisation break into new markets in 2016.
Former BHETA home improvement sector director Peter Stone joined the business as sales and marketing director in 2015 and was drafted in by joint owners Paul Kantecki and David Geczi to spearhead this new development. Mr Stone said: "The company is in a very strong position and ready and determined to move on to our next crucial stage of development. As such, we have been carefully planning our strategy for the future and 2016 will see the implementation of our plans, throughout the entire business from personnel and product to sales and structure.'

Centurion has recently appointed a new business development manager, David Knight, with a specific remit to develop new business opportunities with both new and existing customers across the hardware and DIY sectors, whilst the field sales and marketing teams have been boosted with the arrival of a new southern area sales manager and an additional graphic designer.

All sales personnel have undergone intense and thorough sales training to encourage stronger customer relationships within the field. In addition, the telesales team, which provides support centrally from Centurion's Doncaster-based head-quarters, has been extended in readiness for the company's further expansion.

Mr Stone said: "The investment in our sales and marketing team is a reflection of our commitment to long term growth. As such, we are targeting new sectors including builder's merchants, general merchants and discounters with carefully focussed offerings designed and developed to meet the needs of these specific market places and significantly increasing our promotional activity across all sectors."

He added: "2016 will be a decisive year for Centurion but the planning and preparation is now complete. We are looking forward to a successful future."
