Car tears through Aylsham Garden Centre

Published: 4 June 2013
Norfolk business Aylsham Garden Centre suffered a devastating blow on Friday when a car ploughed through the building, causing around £50,000 damage.
Luckily no one was in the store at the time of the crash so no one was injured, although the car damaged a great deal of stock earmarked for the busy summer trading period, took out the business' telephone lines and wrote off a staff member's car.

According to the garden centre's owner Susan Woodley, the garden centre staff worked tirelessly all weekend and were able to reopen the store at the beginning of this week.

The diver of the car, local woman Lorna Hudson, 66, has been charged with drink driving and will appear before Norwich magistrates on June 20.
