Family-owned Northampton builders and plumbers merchant Martin & Partners has won two national awards in as many weeks.
The firm was awarded the 'I Love Independents' Independent Merchant Supporter of the Year Award at the NMBS Dinner Dance on October 22, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The aim of the 'I Love Independents' campaign is to raise awareness of the benefits of trading with independent merchants, which Martin & Partners has done throughout 2011 through a range of activities such as family trade days and car washes.

The company then went on to win a second award at the Dickies 'Worker of the Year' Awards at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Marlow.

Martin & Partners was named Dickies UK Builders Merchant Distributor Best In Class Builders Merchant of the Year, highlighting the support that the company has shown to Dickies through their product displays and promotional activity over the course of the year.

Md David Dickens said: "To firstly win the 'I Love Independents' award was great, but to then follow this with the Dickies UK Builders Merchant Distributor Award makes for an excellent two weeks. At Martin & Partners we look to support any campaign which actively promotes the independent merchant and will continue to do so throughout the rest of 2011 and into 2012 and beyond."
