Briwax back in control of Bollom family

Published: 21 January 2008
After a turbulent 12 months, woodcare specialist, Briwax, is back in the hands of the Bollom family.
Last year the Bollom Group was sold to an investment company, but following a disastrous fire, which completely destroyed its site, the new investors decided to call it a day.

However, original chairman, Martin Bollom, and his brother, Tony, have bought back the Briwax operation.

Trading under the name of Briwax International, the company has new production facilities at Keston, Kent.

"We are now in a position to offer the level of service customers have come to expect from us," said Martin Bollom.

"Briwax rose successfully from the ashes of another catastrophic fire in 1996 - and now the brand is back in Bollom hands we fully intend to do it again."
