British Ceramic Tile sells Trade Warehouse format

Published: 24 June 2010
After a review of the company's "distribution routes to the market place" British Ceramic Tile (BCT) has agreed to sell its four Trade Warehouses for an undisclosed sum.
The deal sees Walls & Floors Kettering acquire the outlets, trading under the British Ceramic Tile Trade Warehouse fascia, in Bristol, Swindon, Gloucester and Cardiff.

A statement released by BCT said all four sites would continue to trade and would expand further into the retail market as well as catering to the trade.

BCT chief exec Matthew Gazzard said: "we are very happy to have been able to agree a way forward with Walls & Floors who are already a valued customer of British Ceramic Tile. This enables us to concentrate on manufacturing and simplifies out route to market."
