Tough trading conditions leads to appointment of MCR on Friday but administrators are hopeful of finding a buyer for the furniture firm.
MCR partners John Whitfield and David Whitehouse were appointed joint administrative receivers of Brian James Holdings Limited on Friday, March 25.

The furniture retailer, which trades under the name of Brian James Furnishings, operates from showroom premises in Cannock, Staffordshire and employs 19 people.

John Whitfield stated: "Like many in the retail sector, Brian James Furnishings has experienced difficult trading conditions which have been exacerbated by a further downturn in consumer spending."

He added: "The company is trading as normal at present while all options are considered. There is already interest from potential purchasers and we hope to be able to secure a sale of the business and assets as a going concern in due course."
