Bord na Móna UK's Growise multi-purpose grow bag has been recommended by consumer ratings magazine Which? Gardening.
Tested with tomatoes and cucumbers, the 33 litre grow bag with an RRP of £3 was described as producing excellent plants.
The tomatoes were strong and healthy, tall and lush, and produced plenty of fruit. The plants also had great staying power, "still going strong at the end of the trial" when others were starting to fail.
The cucumbers were equally strong and healthy.
Bord na Móna UK said it was "great news for the performance quality of peat-reduced composts".
