Bents' expansion creates 150 new jobs
Phase one of the building work began last summer, when 10 acres of environmental gardens were built as well as a children's play area and birds of prey centre, and phase two began in January with major department extensions.

The award-winning Fresh Approach Restaurant is currently undergoing a major extension and the Food Hall will double in size. In addition, the Children's Boutique and Pet Care department will increase in size with plans for a groom room and pet cafe.

Once complete, the department expansions will significantly increase the amount of retail space for Bents.

To find new members of the Bents team, the garden centre is holding three recruitment events on July 8, July 10 and July 12.

Earlier in the year Bents secured an £8m term loan facility from Barclays to help fund the expansion plans.
