Glee hit the UK’s TV screens yesterday morning as BBC’s Breakfast programme was broadcast live from the event. One of the presenters, Steph McGovern, interviewed leading garden industry figures in the halls.

The programme returned to the show several times for regular updates from McGovern, as she discussed new product launches, the latest gardening trends and insights, and provided information on how to engage with the younger gardener.

Duncan McLean, buyer at Wyevale Garden Centres, was interviewed by McGovern on the garden retail market, and Sheila Hill, UK general manager of the Scotts Company (UK) Ltd, also appeared on camera discussing the latest trends.

Viewers were treated to a tour of the new Retail Lab @ Glee by Romeo Summers, as well as its interactive hubs focusing on Family, Community, Re-Wilding and Well-being. George Williams, of SmartPlant, also demonstrated the SmartPlant app, which enables consumers to identify plants and receive advice and how to care for them.
