Keynote speaker at the next BHETA DIY Sector meeting will be Mederic Payne, merchandising director of B&Q.
Mr Payne joined the Kingfisher group at the time of the company's expansion in the French market.

Since 2000, he has specialised in merchandising and format and will be speaking of his experiences in those sectors at the meeting on Tuesday, March 4 at the BHETA headquarters at Brooke House, Northampton.

Also at the meeting will be Mark Alexander, director of BHETA member company, Benchmark Retail Services.

Mr Alexander will be co-ordinating his presentation with Mr Mederic's to cover how suppliers can best support their products in-store, particularly in a multiple retail environment.

James Gower, newly appointed event director for Interbuild 08 will outline plans for working with BHETA at this year's show in a joint collaboration.

The two parties have joined forces to offer a special rate to BHETA members who wish to exhibit at the NEC-based show, which takes place from October 26 to 30.
