Dulux has named celebrity Alesha Dixon as the face of its annual Colour of the Year campaign.
The singer and judge on television's Britain's Got Talent show took part in a ballet-inspired photo shoot to showcase Teal as the top shade of 2014.

Teal, and specifically the Dulux colour Sea Urchin 1, was predicted as the Colour of the Year following extensive research by an 18-strong panel of global colour and trend experts who specialise in different areas of colour use, brought together by Dulux parent company AkzoNobel.

In order to make their forecast, the team scours the world, exploring a broad range of different cultures and industries including interiors, fashion, beauty, design and even social and economic influences.

The result is an annual trend prediction known as Colour Futures, which depicts five key trends for the year ahead and one true Colour of the Year.

This is the second year that Dulux has launched its Colour of the Year with a celebrity ambassador. Last year saw Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud get behind the 2013 shade, Indigo Night.
