The money was raised throughout the year via a programme of activities organised by Hamilton Acorn's Kate Everitt. They included Munchy Mondays, where home-cooked goodies were sold by staff members each week, Easter and Christmas raffles, a Grand National sweepstake and donating in place of sending Christmas cards.

Sophie Emmanuel, representing the East Anglian Air Ambulance said: "Contributions like this make a huge difference to our work here in East Anglia and we're delighted to accept this donation. A big thank you goes to everyone at Hamilton Acorn for their efforts."

The company is supporting Star Throwers, a cancer support charity based in Wymondham, Norfolk, in 2014.
