Administrators in discussion over sale of Proteam

Published: 24 June 2011
Proteam administrator FRP Advisory has confirmed it is in discussions with a number of parties regarding the sale of the company.
FRP partner Jason Baker told DIY Week: "The joint administrators to Proteam UK Limited continue to trade the business and have received a significant amount of interest from a wide variety of parties, including financial investors and trade buyers from the sector.

"We are in the process of discussions with the relevant parties in order to ascertain whether a sale of the business as a going concern is achievable. This looks promising, but we won't be in a position to assess whether that's achievable for a week, or possibly two weeks."

The distributor entered administration on June 13, owed £3m by collapsed retail chain Focus.
