Yale launches new range of IP Cameras

In a recent survey, when asked what security products Brits expect to see in a smart home, 58 per cent of respondents expected CCTV throughout their home, and 59 per cent wanted to control their home security from anywhere in the world using a mobile app.* Yale's new Home View cameras allow consumers to do just that, enabling access to properties via a smartphone using the Yale Home View app.
The Yale app works on both Android 4.4 and above, and iOS 9 and above operating systems, and gives homeowners control of their Home View cameras from anywhere, at anytime. The Yale Home View cameras record in HD720 quality and can also connect wirelessly to a Yale Hybrid DVR as part of a Smart Home CCTV System. This allows homeowners to record video from their Home View camera directly onto their Yale Hybrid DVR Hard Drive.
The range includes the Home View and the Home View Pan Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) Cameras. Both record in HD720 quality, with 8m enhanced night vision for clear images even in the lowest light conditions.
The cameras also have an optional motion detection feature that can alert users to movement in the home, as well as a two-way audio feature, enabling users to listen or talk back with a built-in microphone and speaker. The kits are easy to set up and ready to use in minutes using the quick start guide. There is also no monthly fee, as video is saved to an SD card or optionally backed up to Dropbox.
David Herbert, Business Development Director for Yale Smart Living, said: "At Yale we place convenience at the centre of our Smart Living range, and develop devices that make everyday life that little bit easier.
"After conducting research into the state of the UK smart security market, we found that more and more homeowners are now demanding remote access and control via a smartphone to view their property. As a result, we developed the new Home View camera range, which helps homeowners put family life first. Both cameras offer simple set-up and are controlled via the Yale Home View app, while still ensuring a superior standard of security. We've also taken the expense out of third party fees by putting the user in control With the ability to record video to an SD card (purchased separately), a drop box account or Yale Hybrid DVR with no monthly fee."
