Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

Pedal power

Two employees from wood specialist Winther Browne are going to ride from John O'Groats to Land's End to raise money for charity.

The ride will take approximately seven days to complete and the duo will be covering an average of 125 miles a day. The plan is to start the ride on 29th May 2010 and finish on 4th June 2010.

The monies raised will be split between Breast Cancer research and Cancer Research.

Asked why they had chosen this particular feat Pete Tarrier, operations manager for Winther Browne said:  'It is a real challenge and Andy and I love a challenge. It will be a great sense of achievement to be able to say we did it and it is also raising money for two worthy causes!'

Anyone wishing to sponsor should logon to http://www.justgiving.com/PETER-TARRIER or http://www.justgiving.com/ANDREW-VINCE where they can pledge credit card donations.

A support vehicle has been donated by A&M van and car rental and any companies wishing to add their logo to the van should contact Merrison Gittens on 07725 074 544. The cost is £200 which will be donated to the nominated charities.
