Britain's biggest social event for the hardware, housewares, garden and diy industry is preparing for its 20th birthday in 2007.

The Industry Awards is where the whole market comes together to applaud and celebrate the cream of the current season's product innovations.

Entry to the awards is open to any new product in hardware, housewares, garden and diy - the only requirement is that it must have been first launched to the trade between January 1 and December 31, 2006.

Awards will be made in a number of categories, including: cookware and bakeware, decorative products, diy products, garden chemicals and fertilisers, garden equipment, garden tools, hand tools, hardware, kitchenware, packaging, power tools and accessories, security products, small electrical appliances and tabletop products.

More than 450 guests are expected at the awards lunch, which is at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Friday, May 11.

The event will feature top names from the world of entertainment and media as a host and cabaret, and will provide the perfect opportunity to entertain key customers or to reward key colleagues.
